CHAPTER 14

Monica's POV

I woke up due to the sound of someone knocking on my door. I groaned angrily because the person interrupted my sweet sleep but the persln didn't stop knocking.

'Monica, are you awake?' I heard Coralline's voice.

I stood up and opened the door.

'Good morning' I greeted her.

'Morning. Did I wake you up?' She asked.

I nodded.

'Sorry. I just wanted to let you know that I'm leaving for work now. I left your food covered on the counter. If you don't want to eat now, you can microwave the food later.' She said.

'You're going to work this early?' I asked her.

'What do you mean early? I'm even late. Goodbye, I'll see you in the evening.' She said and left.

I went back into my room and picked up my phone. I pressed the on button and my eyes bulged out when I saw the time. It was already 9:35 am. Fuck. I was hoping to see Damon's face before he leaves for work.

I guess I'll see him this evening then. I went to the bathroom to freshen up and wash away the remaining sleep from my eyes
