Chapter Sixteen

Knock knock

Someone knocked on Adriel's door and he looked up sharply.

"Come in", he said expectantly.

"Hey yo!", Omar announced as he walked into Adriel's office.

Adriel's expression fell.

"Omar, what are you doing here?", Adriel asked.

"Are you hearing yourself? Since when do I need a reason to come see you?", Omar asked as he walked towards one of the sofas in the office.

"Why did you knock?", Adriel asked.

"No reason, I just felt like it," Omar answered.

Adriel sighed and glanced at the wall clock.

It was almost 1 o'clock and Miss Garcia had not come in yet. He was beginning to think she wasn't coming in again today.

"Why? Were you expecting someone?", Omar asked.

"No", Adriel answered immediately.

Omar looked at him curiously but didn't say anything more on the matter.

"Hey, I didn't see your secretary at her desk, did she go somewhere?", Omar asked
