4 - Dinner

It's been so exhausting these days that whenever I go to bed, I fall asleep like a log. Whenever I am not training, my mouth is always stuffed with food since training takes all my energy. I eat like this is the last meal I will ever eat since it takes all my energy to train.

I asked my mother one day "Why am I so hungry these days mother?"

She said "Allie you are going to shift into your wolf in a few days. You will need a lot of energy dear."

"Mom I don't want to be fat, Alpha Sioux will reject me if I am not good enough for him." I said

Don't fear this, Allie. You are training now and you will gain power. You will receive gifts. You will need so much energy that I fear sometimes you won't have enough," she said worriedly.

I just stared at her 'more food, impossible'

If I am honest with myself, I am not that fat as I am 5'8". I still have some curves. Fair skin, brown eyes, straight nose, full pink lips these are enough for me to look pretty.

It is unreasonable to think about these things as Alpha Sioux tastes are very peculiar as he has rejected the most beautiful girl in our community. She was his mate, according to rumours. If I really think about it, everything is given to me. I don't have a choice about anything. If I had the chance, I would explore so much. As much as I would like to apply to college, learn more subjects, live with humans, finish all my studies, explore beautiful places with my loved one, and follow all of my fantasies, we can't leave without permission, and in my case I have responsibilities that cannot be ignored.

Next month, 18th of December ----

Today we are having a family dinner with my father, mother, my younger brother, my uncle, aunty, their kids, my grandmother, my mother's sister, my aunt, and her brother.

My mom's sister Lisa is a witch but she has very weak powers compared to everyone else. I have to remember that I have to ask her about Richard. Then her brother uncle James he is a wizard he is better than my aunt Lisa. My grandmother told me the first born has the most power, just like my mother.

Then my father's brother Uncle Joey his mate aunt Fraya and their kids Johnson and Simi. Johnson is 8 and Fraya is 5.

Lastly my younger brother Canyon who will become Alpha after my father but he is a teen right now. He is 15 years old. He has 3 more years to become Alpha. My father has already begun his training with the most challenging tasks. He is much stronger than I am. He will not be assigned any work load, he will be prevented from working, as I have already mentioned.

My mother and my aunts were in the kitchen preparing food for dinner. My father and my uncles were talking about their old work in the living room. Me and the kids were enjoying a movie in one of the guest rooms.

We are having dinner in my honor. It could be our last family dinner because in just two days it will be my birthday when I am going to shift and everything is going to change.

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door. When I approached to answer the door, my father stopped me by saying it was his beta Royas.

When the door was opened by my father, Royas entered and my father asked "What is it you want to tell me Royas that you can't link?"

Royas said "It is about Alpha Sioux."

My father asked, "What is it?"

"Alpha Blaze, he is going to travel on this birthday and we are not sure if he is leaving before or on his birthday."

My father thought and said angrily "Everything is going to be in vain if he is not here; we have done all preparations for everything."

We all heard what Royas was telling us, but I cannot let this happen. No, no, no, our preparations for today cannot be wasted.

The whole family was tense. My mother and aunt came when they heard about Royas. My grandmother and my uncles were all worried.

Suddenly, I said to all of them, "I will do what I'm supposed to do. If Alpha Sioux isn't around, let them capture me. My father has trained me, my mother has trained me for spells, so nothing will change.

I know you have been thinking about any possible solution, however I am ready to proceed as planned."
