HARU'S POV

"What is she doing there?" I asked myself when the GPS was at the empty lot, a bit far away from their house. Did Jacob just...

Oh, shit! No, it can't be!

I immediately get my keys and jackets, rushed to get to my car to go where Selena is. While driving, my heart beating so fast that it can go out of my ribs at any moment, the cold sweats also covered my forehead and palms.

"What?" I answered Haxilla call.

[Where are you going? Why you're so in rush?]

I'm biting now my nails because of anxiety, "How did you know?"

[I'm about to go to your house and saw you that you're in rush. I'm actually behind your car now.]

A red car is tailing me, that's Haxilla. She shouldn't follow me, she can't see the body of her sister if ever that Jacob did something brutal. That bastard, I should have killed him since the start.

"You shouldn't follow me, Hax."

[Why not? What if something bad happened to you?]

I hung up the call and focused on my driving. Haxilla also jumped off her car when we already get to our destination.

"What are you doing here?" she asked while I'm looking at Selena's body.

"Selena is here."

"What?!" she shouted, but I ignored her. "H-How is it possible that she is here?"

"That's also my question and making me frightened at the same time," I said, pointing the flashlight at a different direction. Haxilla also helped to look for her sister. We almost look at the whole place, but we found nothing.

"There's something here," Haxilla shouted from afar, she's pointing a red blinking light at the corner. That's the GPS device that I put on Selena's bracelet.

"We're doomed. She already knew that we were watching her," I said while staring at the device.

"What are we going to do now?" she asked.

"We will go to her house."

When we got to the front of their house, only the light at Selena's room is lit, that made me more nervous. Haxilla wants to stop me from trespassing, but no one can stop me now, Selena is probably in danger now.

"S-She's not here."

No one was there when we opened the door, we even walked around to look for her, but we just wasted our time. Haxilla tried to find her at the first floor and I opened the every door upstairs.

A room that has wine and foods inside it caught my attention, it seems like Selena and Jacob had a drink. I tried to find more things that can tell us where is she, a phone suddenly vibrated under the bed.

I get it and Haxilla's number appeared on the screen, it's Selena's phone. But, why is it under the table? It's odd for her to leave her phone at home. A second later, Haxilla ran to me while holding her phone at her ear, her eyes widened when she saw her sister's phone in my hand.

"Oh Gosh."

Confusion drew on my face, "Why? Do you know something?" I asked while watching her tapping on Selena's phone nervously, her hands barely hold the phone because it's trembling for too much.

"Something surely bad happened to her when she left the phone—where did you find this?" she asked while waving the phone. I pointed to the space under the bed with confusion, "I knew it."

"Wait, I can't understand what's happening."

She sighed deeply, "Selena did this when her suitor before attempted to harassed her. She'll throw her phone under the bed, so she can record everything that can happen, especially when she feels something bad might happen like this."

She played a voice record file.

' "Jacob, why these things happened to me? Am I that bad person to be punished like this?"

"No, but unfortunately, you need to sacrifice."

"Ha, sacrifice? Argh, I'm so angry to all of them. They made me live in a life that is full of lie."

"That's right, loathe them. They didn't care about you."

"I loved him so much, even his parents killed my own parents. How dare he to do this to me? He has no heart."

"Selena, you're an idiot."

"Shut up, you didn't know anything."

"I know everything."

"I want to die, this bullshit life is worst. This is much worse that to live at hell."

"You're so weak, Selena. I didn't even know that gaining your trust is just that simple. Sleep well."

"Go here now, faster." '

After the conversation a couple of footsteps are heard, the silence was long until we heard our own voices. Haxilla suddenly sat down because of what Selena said and realization that she's now in danger. Maybe her sister doing this kind of practice so that we can use it as a hard evidence if something bad happened to her.

"Let's go," I said and pulled her up to get back to our house. She can't drive if her mind is full of thoughts, it can cause her death. While we're on our way, I dialed Jaxon, this is the time when he will choose between Maxine and Selena.

MAXINE'S POV

"This is beautiful, what do you think, love?" I asked to Jaxon while showing her the wedding gown. He just nodded, like he didn't even care whatever I will dress at our wedding.

A dress shop staff walked closer to me, "There's a wedding gown that perfectly fits to a pregnant woman like you, madam."

My smile automatically showed, "Really? Can you show me?"

"This way."

I walked closer to Jaxon, "I'll look at the gowns that for the pregnant like me, okay?"

"Faster, I have a meeting."

A knife suddenly stabbed my heart and feeling by his attitude towards me. I thought the fact that we have a baby will help me to get him back again, but he's still the same. I just nod at him and walked to the boutique to try the gowns there.

"Wow, I love this!" I exclaimed while watching myself at the mirror. The gown really fits me, my stomach is not that obvious that it's big.

A staff helped me to fix the gown, "It looks like your fiancée isn't in the mood." She suddenly said. I just smiled at her, bitterly. Since the morning, he is like an ice because of his coldness every time that we're talking.

"He's just stressed about our business," I lied, it's the only way to ease the pain of the truth. When we finished fixing the gown, they helped me to walk towards Jaxon to show the gown.

"Love, look!"

The smile faded on my face when he just throws me a cold glance and said, "It's beautiful," in uninterested sound. I feel so humiliated because of his actions, the staffs around us felt awkward because of the atmosphere that he made.

I was about to speak, but his phone suddenly rang.

"Hell—what?! Why? What happened?!"

The numbness covered my entire body when he hurriedly run to somewhere without even telling me anything about the call, and why is it so urgent?

"Help me to remove this gown."

The staffs assisted me to remove it. Jaxon must pay for what he just did to me, he humiliated in front of other people. I know that he really didn't care about me, but will he just respect me a bit? It's not that hard to do.

"Dad, I want you to do something."

JAXON'S POV

"It's beautiful."

That's the only words that came out of my mouth when she went out with that gown. I really didn't give a damn for whatever she will use at the wedding that their only want. The awkwardness slowly eating up the whole room, who cares? She's the only one who wants this, if I have no important responsibility on her body, I wouldn't marry her.

My phone suddenly rang, it's Haru.

"Hell—"

[Go home now, Selena is in danger.]

"What?! Why? What happened?"

I immediately stood up and run out of the gown boutique. My hands are trembling as too much because of fear and nervousness, that I can't even shoot the key at the keyhole.

[We will be going to talk about it if you're already here. Move quickly if you want still want to see Selena alive.]

He hung up the call. Why is he sounded that he's the reason why Selena is in danger now? Instead of thinking and doing nothing, I immediately packed my things, drove to the airport to flew immediately to them.

"Why is it so urgent?" Hans, my private pilot, asked while fixing the gear before we flew.

"Just start the helicopter. I don't have much time to explain."

While we're at the air, my heart can't calm down, the cold sweats slowly falling down to my body. Wade is right, I'm really stupid at making decisions at my life, but this time, it'll be different.

HAXILLA'S POV

"How can we find them? They throw the GPS device that our only hope to find her in this kind of situation," Britanny said while nervously looking at us.

We're now at our house to plan what are we going to do to find Selena, we only have her phone, it's useless since we can't call her.

The whole room is quiet, drowned in our own thoughts. Overthinking is killing me again, I hate to be on this situation because I can barely control myself. Haru suddenly get the phone from my hand and do some tapping like he is looking for something.

"Selena is still trusting us," he said out of the blue while staring at the phone.

"What do you mean?" Wade asked. I'm just watching them, I can't speak because of my anxiety.

He showed us a map like and a device that is pointing to somewhere. I understand that it's the place where is Selena now, the thing that making me confused, how did she do that if they already threw the GPS device?

"Selena has another phone, and she connected it to this phone to use as a GPS device. She did this because she's trusting us that we will be going to help her if something happened to her."

I immediately looked up when my tears are attempting to escape from my eyes, but it still flowed. Raven hugged me when he saw me that I'm crying. It's just overwhelming and relieved that despite the things that we did to her, she still trusted us.

"What happened to her?"

A familiar voice boiled my blood. That voice who destroyed my sister's life, how dare he to show up here?! He doesn't know the word 'pride'? Isn't he ashamed to show up here after he almost put his wife's life in a fire again?

"Haxilla!"

They exclaimed after I slapped Jaxon, his eyes are surprised when he looked at me while holding the cheek where I slapped him. A slap isn't enough to pay all the pain that my sister have been through because of him.

"How dare you to show your face here. Go back to your mistress now before I smash your face to the wall." I said while stopping myself to kill this damn man.

Haru stood between us, "Hax, calm down. I'm the one who called him to get here."

"What?! Are you out of your mind, Haru? You know how much pain he gave to Selena!" I shouted. My fist clenched while looking at them, we can do this by just on ourselves.

"Jacob using Selena as a bait so Jaxon will show up. He is the one who he needed, not your sister. In order to save your sister, we need to bring him to Jacob." He explained, I didn't speak more. Raven hold my hand and rubbed it to comfort me, I can't still accept that he is part of the way we can save my sister.

Wade slammed the table out of the blue that made us to flinch, "If you wanted to save Selena, embrace yourself. Don't act childish, so we can do the plan neatly."

"We can still save her without him, don't you care about her feelings when she saw him again?!" I asked them because I'm so frustrated now. Jaxon cleared his throat and suddenly stood up, we all looked at him.

He looked at me, "I understand what your point is. But, this is not the time for me to listen to your nonsense, she's still my wife. If you don't want to work with me, then I'll do it by myself."

Everyone became quiet when he gets out, all of them glared at me like I did something wrong, or maybe I really do. But still, no one can change my mind to join him to save my sister. It's unacceptable.
