SELENA'S POV
"Do you want to have a wine?" Jacob asked me while holding a bottle of wine and two wine glasses. I smiled at him and get one wine glass.
We are quiet while appreciating the beauty of the stars at night and a tasty wine. It's been a while since I felt this kind of peace, it is so satisfying.
"Are you feeling well now?" he asked after a long silence.
I nod, "Hm, thanks to you."
"That's nothing—oh, wait, someone is calling."
When he gets out of the room, I immediately tapped the recording app on my phone and checked the other phone if it's already linked to the other one.
Since I found the GPS device at my bracelet, something unsual starting to bother me. His footsteps are getting closer and louder, that's why I just kicked my other phone under the bed because I panicked.
"Did you wait for long?"
"No, it's fine."
He smiled at me and poured me another glass of wine. We didn't talk again, our minds and lips are too sealed to start a topic. My head became heavy, and the random voices that I heard making me more dizzy. Jacob's scream echoed at my ear before everything went black.
My hands are encircled by a chain. My waking body was greeted by a cold and cement odor; this place is a shambles.
"You're awake, Selena."
That familiar voice made me raise my head.
"Jacob? All of this was done by you?"
He gets down on his knees and looks me in the eyes. I could see how much rage was now residing in his heart and spirit. His fingers twirled in my hair and brushed against my face.
"I apologize for using you, Selena. You're Jax's priceless jewel, which he can't afford to lose" with every point he makes, he says.
I cocked my head and smirked. He didn't know anything, and my eyes are fixed on him, like if my death is a long distance off.
"You're wasting your time; Jax won't show up—"
Because of a gunshot from elsewhere, my word is cut short.
"Get away from my wife, Jacob," Jax growled, pulling out his gun once more.
Jacob didn't flinch in the least, as if he expected it. When a large group of men appeared and surrounded us, my eyes opened.
"How does it feel to live in a mansion, drive a car worth a billion dollars, and be married to such a stunning woman?" Jacob shifted his gaze to Jax.
I despise Jax to death, yet if something were to happen to him, remorse would drive me insane.
"Please let Selena go; she's pregnant."
"Jax..." my tears welled up as a result of my conflicted emotions.
Jacob burst out laughing. "Do you think I'm a complete moron?" He stomped his foot on Jax's and punched him in the face.
"Jax!" I scream hysterically while attempting to get free from my bonds. I can't do anything except cry since two men are holding my shoulders to stop me.
Jacob never pulled his fists off Jax's body; instead, he grabbed him by the collar and tossed him away.
"Jacob, please, stop it!"
Jacob throws an envelope and a pen at Jax, who is already in too much pain to fight.
"Sign this paper, place your money and everything in my hand."
Jax laughed at him, so he booted him in the stomach, causing him to scream.
"Hey bro, I'm sorry for the delay."
We were all staring at the gate in front of us. They've arrived, thanks to God. Britanny ran to me and removed the chains while the men that surround us fought our buddies.
Haru separates Jacob from Jax, and the two begin fighting.
"Go with Jax and get out of here," Britanny said as she attempted to break the latch. I dashed to Jax as soon as she had properly removed it.
"Jax, please don't close your eyes."
He snatched my hands and held them in his. When a bullet struck my back, my heart skipped a beat.
When I fell at Jax's peak, my entire body went numb.
"Selena!"
JAXON'S POV
Since Haru texted me the place where Selena is, I drove there alone. I'm praying for too much that she'll be safe and saved this night. I can't forgive myself if something bad will happen to her.
It's an old warehouse, the typical place where kidnappers brought their victims. My eyes are widened when a man running towards me with a baseball out of nowhere, followed by more like him. Luckily, I took a taekwondo class when I was little, and use it in this kind of emergency. They all dreamed in no time because of my fist.
I successfully entered the warehouse where Selena is sitting at the chair, my chest tightened when her tummy caught my attention. She did all the best that she can do just to protect and make our baby alive.
My gaze transferred to the man who she's talking to. Jacob Morelli, you're still greedy. I pulled the trigger and shoot the place near him.
"Get away from my wife, Jacob," I said and shoot him again. Other men appeared out of nowhere, it made me more nervous, but I can't show him that I'm scared.
"How does it feel to live in a mansion, drive a car worth a billion dollars, and be married to such a stunning woman?" he suddenly asked while walking around to me.
Jacob always jealous of what I have in my life. He's so jealous to the point that he didn't even care if he's going to hurt someone innocent just to prove that he was the best compared to me.
"Please let Selena go; she's pregnant." I pleased him, but he just slightly laughed at me, sarcastically.
"Jax..." Selena called me. I stopped myself to look at her because I'll become weak if her face will show in front of my eyes.
Jacob laughed again, "Do you think I'm a complete moron?" he suddenly stomped at my feet and punched my face.
Selena is screaming my name multiple times, that's so good for my ears. While I'm protecting my head from Jacob's violence, all the happy things that Selena and I made flashed back.
How sweet her laugh and smile is, her eyes that sparkling every time I'm looking at it, her kisses and hugs, her cares... all the things that she have done for me. I miss them, to the point that I want to see, hear and feel it again from her.
I'm the one who should be punished from all the wrongs that I made to her. The kicks, punches, everything that Jacob is doing to me now is not even enough to pay all my sins to her. She would have not experienced this kind of hardships if not because of me. She's just a victim here, she's always the victim.
Jacob stopped from what he's doing, and placed a ball pen and a paper at my front, "Sign this paper, place your money and everything in my hand."
I just laughed to him, he become more furious, so he kicked me again. Haru pulled off Jacob from me, I felt somehow relieved that they came. A soft hand touched my hands and face while saying something that I can't understand.
I hold her hands before my eyes closed, and she fell asleep at my chest.
BRITTANY'S POV "Drive faster, Wade." I'm praying hard while we're on our way to Selena. I keep on telling myself that nothing bad will happen to her, nothing. She'll be safe while waiting for us. Wade tried to overtake from the cars in front of us. We both became annoyed when the red light appeared in the traffic lights. This shit, we need to get there faster, we don't know what things can Jacob do to Selena. "Jaxon is here already," Haru said when we saw men that are lying on the ground unconscious. I'm a bit amazed on how Jaxon did this all by himself, he's an ace. We followed Haxilla when she suddenly run at the warehouse. We saw that Jacob hitting Jaxon at the other side, while Selena almost lost her voice because of her screaming. I immediately run to her while our other friends trying to stop the men of Jacob. "Get away of here with Jaxon,"
"Wylow! Come here, baby." I wiped Wylow's mouth that is full of chocolate, Haru gave me an extra tissue. "Britanny should be the one who is doing that." He said, I threw the used tissue on his face. "She's busy on preparing the foods." He sat down at my side while fixing Wylow's hair, "If we ever have a baby, she will be beautiful like you or he will be more handsome than me?" I pushed him with all my strength, "Stop that nonsense. I didn't even give you a permission to court me again." "I can court you in bed," he said while twitching his eyebrows up and down. Yuck, he's so disgusting. We left him there, I heard him calling my name, but I ignored it. While waiting for Britanny and Haxilla, I scrolled at my feed. "Their baby is so cute." Maxine posted their family picture for the

THREE YEARS AGO Only the two of us stood beneath the frigid sky on a snowy December night. He grabs my hands and pulls me in closer. His eyes, like mine, are full of bliss, which I believed could only happen in movies. The butterflies in my stomach began to tickle my entire body. For me, it's a lovely night, and I'm feeling like a princess. He's speaking with his heart rather than his words when he says, "Thank you for coming into my life, Selena." My shaking hands smiled at him as they touched his face. "Thank you for always making my heart warm, even when the weather was so chilly." My eyes immediately closed
My headache caused me to wake up. What a shame that I was a complete mess last night. When a man approached from outside the room, I was going to get out of bed. He has a platter of food and soup in his hands. He pushed the meal to the side and said, "You're awake." I have a puzzled expression on my face as I stare at him. He's a baritone - a particularly attractive one, to be sure – but I remembered something."Yes, I'm the man in the café," he says, cutting off my words."You didn't hurt me in any way, did you?" I inquired, cautiously. He just sat on the couch and laughed at me."Why? Did you have a strange sensation in your body?"What? What exactly does he mean?"What exactly do you mean?" I inquired."Every time you're devirginized for the first time, it's unpleasant, so did you
I awoke with a big grin on my face. I need to start my day off on a good note-"AHHHH!"When I heard Haxilla cry in the living room, I bolted."Can you tell me what happened?" Brittany was the one who asked."A cockroach flew on her body, and you know how much Hax despises cockroaches," she explained as she stood there watching Haxilla jump and roll around the room."Did you simply stand there like that? Oh, please help me-ah!" Hax had fallen on the couch. With a shake of my head, I returned to my room. Later, when she realizes the cockroach has gone away from her, she will be fine.I can still hear her yells, but I choose to ignore them and prepare for my interview.Sel, be courageous and confident. You've got this!Haxilla stopped whining and began preparing breakfast as if nothing had happened
I was in a rush because I had gotten up late yet again. I've never gotten up on time, geez. When the bus came to a halt in front of me, there were a lot of people going inside, and I couldn't get in because of the crowd. With a frown on my face, I walk backwards to allow them to pass. Why did I get terrible luck when I was born? I checked my watch and realized that waiting for another bus would make it difficult for me to make it to the interview on time. Running is easy for me because I wear flat sandals. People who bumped into me were ignored as I ran. A number of individuals have voiced their displeasure with my actions, but I haven't had the opportunity to apologize to them yet.
"Finally, we met," Ma'am Perfiana said as we exchanged handshakes. "Yes, I'm really apologetic for the previous day; my documents got bogged down in a muddy puddle," I stated. Her face was filled with both confusion and worry. "Why? What went wrong? "She inquired as she prepared her laptop for the interview. "I got bumped by a jackass, grr nevermind," I joked, and she laughed as well. We're seated on a bench outside the company, which is unusual for a job interview. "By the way, ma'am, does the job interview have to take place within the company?" I inquired. "Look at the spot where we are," she replied with a smile. Only a few folks were walking there when I looked around. Unlike outside of a company, there is a low population count here. "All I see are people walking by..." "The company was l
