CAUGHT

They walked out of the office building, ignoring Arin who walked past them and headed to a nearby cafe. The sun was shining bright and the air felt refreshing. Hazel took a deep breath and tried to compose herself. Tom walked alongside her, and they talked about the weather. Hazel felt a bit better, and for a moment, she seemed to forget about the heartbreak she had just experienced.

When they arrived at the cafe, Tom held the door open for her, and they walked in. The place was bustling with customers, and the smell of fresh coffee filled the air. Tom led them to a table in the corner, away from the noise.

"What would you like to eat?" Tom asked, handing her the menu.

Hazel looked at the menu, but she couldn't concentrate on it. The thought of her and Gerald breaking up was still fresh in her mind, and the tears began to well up again. Tom noticed her distress and reached across the table to comfort her.
