RUFFLES

Arin sits in the office, perplexed. She wonders what could have possibly troubled Gerald again. She decides to give him some time, hoping that he would come back with a clearer mind. However, as the hours ticked by, there was no sign of Gerald returning to his office.

Arin decides to take matters into her own hands. She calls up her colleagues, trying to find out if anyone had seen Gerald or if they had any idea what was bothering him. Unfortunately, no one seemed to have any information.

As Arin sat there, staring at her computer screen, the door to the office suddenly opened, and in walked Gerald. His face was still gloomy, but he looked more composed than when he left earlier.

Arin stood up from her desk, and as she walked up to Gerald, she said, "Are you okay, sir? You've been gone for a while. Everyone's been worried about you."

Gerald looks at Arin, and though he speaks not a word, the sadness in his eyes tells her all she needs to know.
