RUBY’S POV

It had been three days since I went on a date with Arnold and no word from him since then. Our date was fun. The hours swept by so fast that day and when it was finally time to go home, I dreaded it a bit.

I dreaded it because I knew I would have to go back to living with the fact that I was pretending and lying to Dax while working with his arch-enemy, Dennis, in secret to destroy him but I still had Sally and whenever I looked at her, I remembered that she was another reason why I was doing that… to protect her.
