Chapter 26

Maeve POV

Ario helped me down the car as I held my stomach. I slept off in the car, listening to his heartbeat. Today is the best day of my life since that awful night. My pack was alive, and Ario told me he loved me. I wanted to jump and scream in happiness. I have been smiling nonstop, and I am trying to control it, but I can’t. It all seemed like a dream, a dream I didn’t want to wake up from.

“Wow,” I said, looking up. This is the biggest pack house I can ever lay my eyes on. Words can’t describe how big it is; the building was tall and incredibly wide. I could see the big gate from where we stood, with high walls going around it.

“You outdid yourself,” I said, looking at Ario. He smiled, looking back.

“Is everyone ready?” he asked the warriors.

“Yes, alpha,” he replied.

“Okay, let’s go,” he said, taking my hand, and we walked down the road. I looked back, and I saw my pack dressed. I looked at Ario.

“You must have spent a lot on those new clothes, and they will need more clothing,
