Maeve POV

I turned around, and I saw they were retreating.

“Did you get Jasper?” I mind link Duncan.

“No, I didn’t see him, but Ario is with Elizabeth,” he said. I took a deep breath, looking for Ario, then traced his scent, and I got to him, and he was holding Elizabeth down. I walked to them.

“Where is Jasper?” I asked, staring at her. She has changed; her hair is dark, and she looks evil with the red shade of lipstick.

“Why should I tell you?” she asked, smirking. I grabbed her throat, draining her life out of her.

“Where is Jasper?” I asked, my voice deep. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she was limp in my hands.

“You are killing her,” Ario said, holding my hand. I dropped her, and she gasped, holding her throat.

“Where is Jasper?” I asked, using my command on her. She looked at me, her eyes blank. She opened her mouth, about to talk, but an arrow pierced through her heart, and she fell to the floor, dead. I had no idea where the arrow came from, but she was dead.
