Chapter Forty-Five

♕—Delilah

I woke up curled up into a warm, hard body. I hummed in comfort, I have never slept in any man's arms before. It was nice, I felt protected and cared for.

For a few moments, I lay still and relished the fact of how good his body felt pressed against mine.

If Lorenzo's body could feel so good, I could only imagine how peaceful it would be to sleep in Jack's arms. I have never done that, haven't spent a night in his arms but I'd like to... I'd really, really like to.

I slowly slid out of his warmth and he turned on his stomach. He was in deep sleep, I don't think I had seen Lorenzo sleep like this before.

He seemed relaxed, his face looked so peaceful. I smiled and brushed his dark locks away from his forehead, I grazed my knuckles against his rough skin and leaned over, and placed a kiss on his cheek.

The second my lips met with his warm skin, I stilled; the realization of my action dawned on me. What the hell was I doing? I just saw this man ripping out someone's throat
