Jade's pov My heart was beating fast, too fast as my fingers trembled. Serena's eyes rested on me, then at them. Jade's Pov My head felt heavy and the only thing I felt was pain. Deep pain. I groaned, opening my eyes slightly. I was lying on the floor in a corner. The pain I felt in my head and my whole body made it difficult for me to stir around or move even in the slightest way. "Oh, she's awake. I told you she wasn't dead, Elijah." Saint's pov. I felt uneasy and I didn't like it. Not at all. As I marched to the car, lightening up a cigarette, I thought a lot if I should just remain with Aunt and Jade instead. But CJ was in bad condition and I needed to go to the site immediately. I was keeping my crossed fingers and hoping the more guys I sent to the aunt's store would take care of whatever situation arose. They were a lot, and I made sure they were not going to be outnumbered come what may. CJ was supposed to meet with buyers that evening and I was supposed to go with him but he ended up going alone and the buyers turned out to be some piece of shit resulting in an unplanned fight which took him by surprise. Jade's pov. "Saint, it's me," I said quietly, knocking on his door. He didn't open up the first time which made me repeat myself.
