Seventy two: Serena

Jade's pov

He drove us to his aunt's store while his men followed in a car behind. He had said to me that he just wanted it to be the both of us alone in his car and I didn't object. There was nothing to object.

I shot him little glances from time to time and would smile when his eyes locked with mine. I felt so bad for him and too guilty for hearing his conversation.

He stopped the car in front of the store and came over to open my side of the door.

I got out and he took my hand turning to lead me inside.

"Saint..." I started, stopping in my tracks and making him turn to face me.

What was I doing?

"Is there a problem?" His voice was gentle and I was contemplating hard if I was supposed to be talking.

I thought for a while, peering into his eyes as he waited for me to respond.

"I'm sorry." I blurted out.

He had a neutral expression on his face as he came closer to me. "What for?"

I rubbed my arm lightly still unsure if I was supposed to be saying this.

"About..."

He nodded,
