The Doctor

“Why so shocked, kitten?” He purrs at her. There are blood stains on his face and clothes, making Scarlett shiver in fear. The corpse of the homeless man is lying behind him while the woman is standing there, deadpan. Scarlett can’t look away, her heart thumping hard.

This is the true face of Ryder. The face of a killer.

“I am a killer, kitten,” he says as if reading her mind. “I told you already.”

“You…you said you only kill when it’s necessary,” she whispers. “This…this is…”

“He was a r*pist.”

The woman who was standing by the corpse, speaks up. Her eyes are devoid of all emotions. She steps forward to address them.

“This guy was r*ping homeless women,” the woman reveals. “There are no laws here, no authorities so many men like him abuse women like us here. He r*ped me last night so I came back here to kill him. Unfortunately, he was too strong for me to handle. But this man saved me.”

She turns to Ryder and bows in gratitude. “Thank you,” she sobs. “Thank you so much!”
