I am unhappy with the situation but I knew this was always a possibility, I just wish it wasn’t with Luca. There is something I just don’t trust about him and how he came out of no where. I don’t believe his story, but I haven’t been able to prove otherwise. I leave Maliyah in room to sort through her thoughts. I know she is stressing over this and needs her space.

Derek is not happy with Luca. Maliyah is still underage and even if she is his mate, he is not allowed to say or do anything. I promised I wouldn’t hurt him, but I am going to find him and confront him about this. It would make sense as to why he is always hanging around her, trying to get close to her since he arrived.

I head for the unmated warriors dorms and I find him, talking among other warriors. The smirk on his face turns into a frown as he stands.
