Chapter 52
CAIN POV
After a few hours, I am right in front of the Victorian style house I saw in Dorian’s memories.
It’s huge, accommodating at least Five hundred of Elijah’s puppet hybrid creatures.
I came alone after drinking the scent hiding potion. The army is hiding deep in the forest behind me, waiting for an order from me to come forward and fight.
I thought about it deeply.
What does Elijah actually wants?
He wants me to attack him with full force. He wants to prove he is better than me by defeating my Army, turning them into mindless Hybrid creatures, before he kills me and turns Miracle into one of those creatures too.
He wants me to act in a haste and destroy my own kind, but I can’t do this.
I won’t do this.
I yearn for Miracle more than I like to admit, but I can’t risk the lives of my people who trust me, just to get her back.
Instead, I can risk my own life
