Loopholes In Between

Zheng Tianyi had been curious to know the kind of person Xiuying was that he had to leave the meeting to satisfy his curiosity.

He picked up the file and opened the first page to go through her profile. The first thing he met with was a picture of her smiling brightly in a ginger coloured hair.

' Why must your picture be included when I already know what you look like' Zheng Tianyi mused slightly shaking his head.

He turned to the next page. 

Name: Jiang Xiuying

Age : Twenty three years old.

" She looks like a teenager. I wonder if this is her real age."

Marital Status : About to be married to Zheng Tianyi.

" She really thinks highly of her self "

 He continued making comments on every thing he read about her. By the time he was true, time was already night. Thanks to the details provided by Jiang Xiuying, it felt like he had an insight of the kind of person she may be but that doesn't change the fact that she is using unhanded means to get married to him.

At that moment, an handsome young man with a light brown coloured hair entered the office with impatient steps.

 

Zheng Tianyi quickly hid what he was reading. He didn't want to be teased by his friend.

" What are you doing here? " He asked coldly without raising his head up.

" Bro, is it true you are getting married very soon?" Li Shang enquired with curiosity written over his handsome face.

" Who told you that? " Zheng Tianyi asked. He already suspected it was his secretary that did the job.

Li Shang chuckled. " There is no need to be shy. After all, you are in your late twenties. I feel very bad that I would be the only single person among us. Uhu uhu~" He said dramatically shedding fake tears.

" Are you leaving or not? " Zheng Tianyi questioned him. " If I remember clearly, Grandpa Li is going to force you a blind date this weekend. Continue staying here and I would ensure you have no means of escaping the blind date" 

" Okay...okay. I'm leaving now. You are such a bore " Li Shang muttered the last part under his breath as he made his way out of the office.

Grandfather Li had been forcing his grandson to go on a blind date. He wanted to hold his great grandson before his death.

Sigh...Li shang has no intention of getting married quickly. "You only leave once so enjoy your life to the fullest" was Li shang favorite statement.

Zheng Tianyi was the only one that had the ability of calming Grandfather Li and preventing him from setting Li Shang up.

" Jiang Xiuying " Zheng Tianyi drawled looking at the picture included in the file.  At that moment, he made up his mind about something. He stared at the contract for a while before picking it up.

" She really considered my feeling while drafting the contract. But on a second thought, why did she create all of these rules if she wants to get married to me? It's more as if we would be roommates and nothing more. Jiang Xiuying, just what are you after?" He pondered with a serious face.

Zheng Tianyi already knew her not to simple as she appeared. Even with the information about her, there were still some loopholes. He felt a bit uncomfortable. At least he was supposed to know more about his soon to be wife... oops just "Jiang Xiuying" alone  ^ ^

[ Run an extensive background check on Jiang Xiuying. ] He messaged  assistant Han Sen.

Han Sen had began dozing off in his office but was jolted back to reality by his phone beep. After reading the text message, he felt like crying.

Why is my life so hard ahhh??

Han Sen took a deep breath. He was already skinny due to skipping meals and not regularly eating.

" It's okay. Females nowadays now like skinny men like me" Pitifully consoling himself, he got back to work and the sleep in his eyes gradually disappeared.

Jiang Xiuying's black hair shone brightly under the moon. She swirled the content in her wineglass. Using her free hand, she tucked the wisps of hair that blew along her cheeks in the gentle breeze and downed the glass at a go. 

Raising her head up to look at the starless sky, the moon reflected on her sad face.

" What? Don't tell me you also want to mock me? Sigh... I thought I was close to succeeding but I never knew Tianyi is not even willing to give me a chance. You know, Zheng Tianyi has changed a lot over these five years. He doesn't even look at me with those loving eyes anymore. I tried my best to be the kind of lady he wants but he has forgotten all about me. Do you even know how painful it has been without you all these years? I finally came back to take my rightful place beside you but you are not even willing to give me a chance. Why can't you remember me?" She shouted at the moon. Her heart screamed in pain and agony. All of the emotions she had bottled up were all let loose after seeing him for the first time in five years. Before long, the muffled sound of her sobs filled the quiet night. She discarded all of her strong woman facade and was looking like a drenched lost lamb. 

How nice would it have been to cry on a shoulder that absorbs your tears. A pat on the back to calm you  down and a forehead kiss to reassure you.
