Sophia sat on the edge of her bed, carefully packing her hair into a sleek bun. She had been avoiding mirrors lately, not wanting to be reminded of the bruises that still lingered on her body.

She had been trying to distract herself from the memories of the past two weeks, which had been filled with he'll.

But today, she felt a little better. Maybe it was the warm sunlight streaming in through her window or the fact that she had finally accepted her fate.

"Hold on, I'm coming," she called out, trying to sound confident. She took a deep breath and opened the door, only to be greeted by a delivery man.

"Good morning, ma'am," the man said with a smile. "I have a package for this address. Are you the housekeeper?"

Sophia looked surprised at the question. She was dressed in casual clothes and had her hair tied up, but she certainly didn't look like a housekeeper.

She looked at him, feeling a mix of confusion and annoyance. "No," she replied firmly. "I'm Sophia. What's the package for?"
