18. Kiss me back

Roseline's POV

And in that fleeting moment, time stood still as his lips crashed into mine. My body froze, overwhelmed by the unexpected sensation. It was my first kiss, and I never imagined it would be like this.

The touch of his lips against mine wasn't bad but it was unexpected and came as a surprise to me because it was from the person from whom I least expected it.

I thought that he loved someone else so he was not going to get intimate with me. But the way his heart was beating beneath my palm told a different story. It seems like he wanted more than just a kiss and he isn't going to stop without claiming everything he wants.

He stayed like that for a minute, as if the world stopped for him as well.

He wasn't breathing; he wasn't moving, just like me; the only sound we could hear was our thumping hearts that were beating in the same rhythm.

After a minute, which felt like an eternity, his face moved a little back, only for his tongue to make a space in between his lips to li
