49. Family dinner or drama

Roseline's POV

I am sure I am again disillusioned, like every other time. I haven't met them before. It is for the first time that I am seeing her.

"It's my pleasure to meet you, too," I replied, keeping my smile steady as I extended my hand to Vincenzo's mother. Her warm smile reassured me, momentarily easing my concerns.

"My name is Moretti, Vincenzo's mother," she introduced herself, her voice gentle and inviting. I shook her hand firmly, reciprocating her warm greeting.

"Roseline." I smiled back at her as we shook hands.

Vincenzo's father approached us; his demeanor is more reserved and serious compared to that of his son and wife. He simply nodded in acknowledgment as I greeted him, creating an air of formality.

"Let's have dinner together." Grandpa's excitement was palpable, and his happiness radiated through his voice.

The dining table was set elegantly, adorned with delicious dishes. We settled around the table, Grandpa engaging in polite conversation with Vincenzo's mother.
