48. Deja vu

Roseline's POV

"Hello, Grandpa." I greeted him again as soon as I found a spot where I could talk to him clearly and hear what he was saying.

"I am sorry, child; I disturbed you," he apologized.

"It's ok, Grandpa. You could call me whenever you want. Is everything alright?" I asked him.

"Yes, yes, everything is fine. Don't worry"

A wave of relief washed over me as I heard his reassurance. Grandpa's voice held a comforting tone, soothing my worried thoughts.

There was a brief pause between us. I was waiting for him to state the purpose of calling me and he was taking his time. I just prayed for everything to actually be fine.

"Is there something else you wanted to tell me, Grandpa?" I inquired, sensing his hesitation.

He sighed softly before responding, "Well, there is something, but I was unsure whether it would be considered rude."

"Please, Grandpa, you can tell me anything," I reassured him, wanting him to share whatever was on his mind.

He hesitated for a moment before continuing,
