Chapter 33 - Dad To The Rescue

Claude’s POV

We sat at the backseat quietly, safely strapped behind the seatbelts. Chloe was glued to her teddy she called Blue which was in reality pink. I still couldn't wrap my head around the reason for the name, maybe she named it when she had no idea what colors were.

“ I might be getting off work late, my loves so I might take a while to pick you up,” mom informed us.

“ Are we going to wait for long?” Chloe questioned.

“ Definitely not, honey,” mom reassured.

“ If your mom can't pick you up, that's exactly why you have your godmother at call,” Aunty Stella said with pride. Our car finally came to a halt as we parked in front of the school gate, mom got down from the car and helped us out. Our homeroom teacher stood outside to welcome us.

“ Be good at school, okay?” Mom patted our heads as she handed us over to our teacher.
