Chapter 19

When Cannon stopped the car with a jerk at the entrance of his apartment, Elaine opened her eyes.

Cannon got out of the car immediately and walked towards the entrance. Elaine followed him silently after sitting still for some moments.

Entering the apartment as Cannon made his way to his room, Elaine also made her way to the guest room. No words got exchanged between them.

Elaine’s mind was occupied by the vague memory of her nightmare whereas Cannon was recalling the time when Sam was trying to make him believe that Elaine might be innocent.

He explained him his visiting Hina. Sam was convinced from Hina’s words that there was no way for Elaine and Evana to be doing all these and together playing with Cannon’s feelings.
