Lucy's pov;Tyler, "Daniel, are you picking up Lucy?" "I'm Lucy. Daniel's driving the car." "Oh, sounds like he caught you before me." "What?" "I got off work early today so I thought of picking you up from your school and then we could go home together. alright then, I'll see you at home." He hung up the phone after that. I gave the phone back to Daniel and said, "Now, tell me." "What did Tyler say?" "If you want to know then Tell me, I'll answer you on that." "you're such a pain," Daniel sighed and continued driving without telling me the reason. I asked him again but he told me he ignored me so I gave up asking questions after saying, "You can't always dodge it away." He didn't say anything else for most of the ride as we drove to Tyler's house. He turned off the car engine, hopped out of the car and walked towards the front door. When I got out of the car, I noticed that Tyler hadn't come yet. When I entered the house, Daniel pinned me against the door asking, "Eve
Lucy's pov;I left the house without having breakfast and took a bus to school. When I entered the school campus, students gave me a stare as I was taking my steps to the main building. Are they really staring at me or are they looking at someone else? I turned to either side to check if someone's walking nearby but there was none. I ignored their stares and continued walking to the main building. I saw Emma running to me and asking excitedly, "Did you talk to that Black eagle gang?" "What?" "Someone saw you while you were talking to the Black eagle gang members and put it in our school group." While I was still confused, Emma pulled her phone out of her pockets and said, "Take a look at this. Is this really you?" When I looked into the picture she was trying to show me, I saw myself with the school bullies. Ah, I get it. I guess It was taken while I was talking with them. But who took it? And why? "Who took this?" I asked Emma. "A first year high schooler." "Did they send thi
Lucy's pov;The entire car ride went silent except for the sound of the wind rushing around us through the open window and the radio. When I looked at him, he was focused on driving in a way that showed how anxious he felt inside. When it got to the point where he couldn't take the silence any longer, he broke it. "Rupert said he found something." He gave me a sideways glance before turning his eyes back onto the road and continuing. "So I'm meeting him tomorrow. I know you might not want to come with me, but remember that this is about Tyler and not us. I have a feeling that This could be important." Since I didn't reply, he said, "Anyway, if anything goes wrong-" he glanced over at me again - "Are you listening to me?" I ignored him and looked outside the window again. His voice lowered, "Look, it's okay to say no if you're not interested." I just kept looking out my window, ignoring him again. "Only if you speak, I'll..." Before he finishes, I interrupted him saying, "I said
Lucy's pov; While I was still on the floor right outside Daniel's room, my phone rang. Who's calling me now? The thought crossed my mind as I fumbled for my phone and answered, "Hello?" "Why is my wife still awake?" asked a slightly muffled male voice. It's Tyler. It's like 1 in the morning, babe." "I..." I remembered the CCTV on every floor. If I lie now, Tyler will know that I lied to him when he checks the footage so I said, "I had a fight with Daniel." "What happened?" he asked. "Well, um..." he was always more open than the others so I tried teasing him. "He said some things, but I told him off because of it." "Like what?" he was really worried. "Like saying that we shouldn't have any kids because of the contract!" It felt like he stopped breathing. "What did you tell him?" he whispered urgently. "Well... I just told him not to worry about it since it's none of his business..." there was no response from him, just a slight rustling, then he came back. "Oh.'' There was a
Lucy's pov;At the movie theatre, the lights went out at once and it was as quiet as a grave. No music could be heard anymore. The audience had vanished completely. It was dark and eerie. Everyone knew that a horror film always began with a blackout. That's when it was most likely to end in blood spatter and screams. Tyler held my hands tight to my body as I stared straight ahead. I turned to him and asked, "Are you scared of horror movies?" He shook his head vigorously from side to side and nodded his head yes. "Then why did you bring me here? you could have taken me to a nice museum or something where there are not many people- Wait... I forgot that you hate being in crowded places. Why did you bring me here again?" "I looked it up on the internet..." Before he finished, I interrupted, "It all makes sense now. I wondered why you took me to the beach yesterday and now we're in the movie theatre so... what place did you plan after this?" He gave me a nervous smile saying, "Um,
Daniel's POV;After waiting for a long time, I left the house to look for Tyler and Lucy. I didn't need to go that far out of my way to find them, because they're not kids but still the reason they're not home is still making me worry. Did something happen to Tyler or Lucy? Did someone hurt them? What if someone tried to kidnap either of them ?! Or maybe I can ask them about it and find out what was happening with them. So I made calls for both of them , hoping one of them would answer or at least reply back. But nobody picked up, so I just kept trying to contact them. The more it went on, the angrier I got, until finally, I called one of my friends and asked to track down Tyler and Lucys phone number. Minutes later, my friend sent me a location with a message, 'Both the phone's are in the same place.' When I opened the location, it showed me where I had to go, so I headed there as fast as possible without looking suspicious. It was already starting to get dark by the time I arrived
Lucy's pov;I sat by the window in my room looking out over the night sky , staring at the stars because I couldn't fall asleep with all the thoughts running through my mind. I sighed and closed my eyes. There was no point in thinking about my problems because there isn't any solution to them. When I walked to my bed to lay down, I heard noise from downstairs. I slowly peeked outside my room and saw a light on at the end of the corridor. Who's awake this late at night? I thought to myself and tried to see who it was, but they had put up their hood and were walking away as soon as they spotted me. My curiosity spiked. Why would anyone be walking down those dimly lit halls at midnight? I decided to check it out and followed them. They were still walking when I got to a corner. I hid behind some stairs while they stopped. With the height, I could say it wasn't Tyler since he's taller than this guy. Is it Daniel? I wondered but shook my head and watched. The guy turned around and I c
Lucy's pov;The class bell rang out and the students began filing into their seats. A few seconds later, there was another bell and a few more students entered. Once they were all seated, a voice from the front of the classroom called out, "Attention all students! There's an election for vice-president position and I'm sure that everyone is excited about it! The election will be held in the next few days!"At that moment, there was a knock at the door to the classroom followed by Mr Colson saying, "Sorry to interrupt your class. Could someone come here please?" He waited a minute or so before calling out, "Ms Jones, would you kindly come over here and help me out please?" I walked to him and asked, "Yes, Mr Colson? What can I do for you today?" He replied, “I want you to run to my office , collect your schedule, and then report to the auditorium, where all the students will be having their seminar today." I nodded in agreement with his request and headed to the office as he i
