Chapter 77

Lucy's pov;

After getting ready for school, I came downstairs to see Daniel sitting at the kitchen table. He was staring absentmindedly out of the window while sipping his coffee. I walked in, took a seat next to him and asked, "Where's Tyler?"

He turned to me, and said, "He wasn't here when I got up. Must have left for work early."

I thought, 'He promised to have meals with me but didn't keep it.' I looked down at my empty plate and sighed, then picked it up and tried to go to the kitchen.

Daniel stopped me and asked, "Where are you taking the empty plate?"

I sat again and put some spaghetti on my plate to eat. He gave me a weird look and went back to sipping his coffee. After I ate it, I stood up and said to him, "I'm going to class now." and walked to the front door after grabbing my bag.

While I was putting on my shoes, Daniel said, "I'll drop you."

"I'll take the bus." and walked out of the house.
