"So Sam is your mate?"

Kiara assisted Gwenna in making breakfast. Sam took his piece and left the table right away to go to the backyard, so they would have breakfast alone today.

As soon as he left, Kiara felt a little guilty. She knew that Sam realized she was a little scared by the man's unusual collection yesterday. His hobby was quite foreign to her. She felt bad for him that he would leave like that.

She tried to tell Gwenna to ask her husband to join them. But she didn't know how to say that at first,

"It's okay, really. He usually skips breakfast. We only eat together at dinner," Gwenna said, arranging the bowl for them.

This morning, they cooked a variety of delicious preparations. There was everything from soup to beef jerky already served on the dining table.

"Sit down."

Kiara pulled out a chair and took a seat in front of Gwenna. She scooped the soup into her bowl and started to put each spoon into her mouth.
