135. Spring

Kiara was relieved to learn that Daniel had kept his word and taken Lana to the safe place, the manor, where she had been residing for the past few days. None of the threats she had received in the packhouse would be present here.

They got up early and took Acadia for a stroll through the rose garden and the greenhouse. The greenhouse was a sight for sore eyes, as all the flowers were blooming like nobody's business despite the late spring. Lana was holding a bundle of joy in her arms as the little one was busy checking out the lay of the land.

"I can't believe It's real. I've always wanted to visit a greenhouse since I was a kid, but the ticket in the city costs half of my grocery budget for the month. When I got here, I was like, "Does anyone have a whole greenhouse in their yard? haha." Lana laughed as she finished her sentence.
