Dave had called Gwena, the doctor at the Pureblood pack, to come to the manor to check Kiara's condition. The Alpha's return to the manor with the unconscious girl carried in his arms caught the attention of everyone in the manor and made them wonder what had happened.
He took the girl to her bedroom and laid her down on the bed. Kiara's eyes were still closed tightly, making him even more worried. Hearing what just happened, Pansy and Ghea immediately came to Kiara's room and were surprised to see the Alpha already there. It wasn't long before Gwena arrived.
"You check her," Dave ordered as soon as Gwena entered the room.
"Alright Alpha"
Gwena had never seen the Alpha this worried before, and the woman immediately approached the bed where a girl was lying. The news that Alpha Dave had come to the manor with a fainted omega also reached his mother's ears. Macaine rushed to the room to confirm it for herself. The Alpha's mother is a graceful woman and had such an intimidating aura that all the servants lowered their eyes as she passed in front of them.
"Dave, what is it?" Macaine grabbed her son's arm lightly.
Her son seemed very worried about the condition of the Omega servant he had brought with him. She glanced briefly at the bed and then at her son. How strange. Dave usually never looked this worried; her son was always good at hiding his feelings.
"What happened to her?" Macaine asked cautiously. If he was this worried, something truly bad must have happened.
"She fainted after someone beat her up."
Pansy gasped and covered her mouth.
"Poor girl" Macaine looked at Kiara's slightly bruised cheeks and said, "Gwena will heal her."
Macaine didn't want her son to feel any further guilt. Her son is a good alpha and cares for his pack, the woman thought. Even to a servant, he shows this kind of attention. although she thought he was a bit odd this time. Dave waltzed out of the room.
"Dave, where are you going?" Macaine called out to him.
"There's a little matter, mom; I'll be right back."
He would order his beta, Daniel, to have the man who had done this to her arrested and brought before him. Dave wouldn't spare that bastard.
Moments later, Angeline came into the room with Hugo. Before they got in there, she pulled him away, so it was just the two of them in a corner.
"We have to get rid of that omega," Angeline said to him with a worried look, her voice demanding.
"Wait, what's going on, baby? Why are you suddenly saying this to a poor girl who is passed out?"
"She caught us that night, Hugo! What if she told Dave what she saw? Dave could kick us out. Worst of all, he could kill us!" Angeline's voice was low so no one would hear her, and her teeth were gritted.
'It's good news that the girl was attacked,' Angeline thought. It would be even better if she didn't have to come back here.
Hugo chuckled, and he caressed the cheek of the woman who had been having an affair with him all this time: "Calm down, Angeline." "We'll do that later when the time comes, trust me."
Angeline's face turned into a frown. "What are you waiting for?" "Do you like her?" She felt a pang of jealousy rising in her heart. However, she only wanted Hugo to like her, not other girls.
"Later, honey, for now, I still want to play with her first," Hugo said, kissing Angeline's cheek gently.
He knew the Alpha would kill him if he found out his Luna was having an affair with his cousin. But he couldn't help the proud feeling when he had managed to take someone the Alpha loved and make her choose him. He had always envied Dave; having Angeline felt like a victory to him.

Dave returned to Kiara's room when Gwena had finished checking on her; Angeline and Hugo were also standing there, pretending to be sad about what had happened to her.
"is she alright?" Dave asked.
Gwena cleared her throat, she was a bit hesitant to say, "Does this girl already have a mate?"
The question made them stare at each other. Dave was silent. He looked at Pansy and Ghea; they both should know better. But both women just shook their heads. "Sorry, but we don't know if she has a mate or not," Ghea answered.
"What's wrong?" Angeline urged, impatient to hear the answer. She hoped Gwena would say that Kiara's condition was severe.
"Where is her family?"
"She has no family, only the Omega family adopted her, but they don't take care of her anymore," Pansy answered this time.
Gwena considered for a moment; initially, she wanted to say this to her family. But since she no longer had a family, she chose to tell Dave, "The blow to her head knocked her unconscious, but she would regain consciousness soon after resting, and the bruises would fade within a few days. But Alpha, this girl is pregnant."
Dave was dumbfounded. So were all of them who heard that. Angelie's hand unconsciously moved to her stomach as her eyes stared at Kiara sharply. Hearing that made Angeline hate her even more.
'why does she have what I don't have?' Angeline thought. Hearing that the girl was pregnant made her jealous because a doctor had said she was infertile and would not be able to have children.
Pansy and Ghea exchange a confused glance, as people close to Kiara, they were shocked to hear that because she never told them anything about this.
"Oh dear, who's the father then?" Macaine sighed, her arms crossed. She didn't like it when one of the servants hid something like this.
"Dave, you have to fire her!" Angeline's voice made all eyes turn to her: "She's hiding all this and daring to lie." "That's awful behavior, and the other servants might take it lightly if we don't punish her."
"Dave, I think Angeline is right," Macaine muttered, hearing the support from her mother-in-law. The woman smiled happily and said, "We should expel her from the manor."
"Please! please! Don't do this," Pansy pleaded, "where would Kiara live if she was kicked out?"
"No," Dave cut in quickly. His eyes were still staring at the Omega, who lay there with a feeling that was hard to define.
What happened that night came rushing back into his memory. The night when he got drunk and couldn't control himself, he had a faint memory of the girl's cries. The pill he had given her was supposed to prevent this. Could it be that the pill didn't work? Could that baby be his? He had to find that out.
"She will stay here until the baby is born."
Though she had never met her parents in person, Kiara dreamed of them again. Dad said how brave girl she was and the caress of mom's fingers in her hair washed all the pain in her heart and body away. However, when she attempted to reach for their embrace, her mom and dad presence diminished. Vanished like nighttime mist in the breeze. They smiled at their daughter and left. Her parents were gone. Disappeared. On a sudden, all of her pain came back again. She woke up with her breath catching and cold sweat making her strands stick to her temple. She took a deep breath. He was just here. His scent is still lingering. Alpha Dave must not have left her room long ago. She closed her eyes against the unpleasant feeling that suddenly appeared in the pit of her stomach. She got up from bed and saw something that made her cheeks feel a pleasant cool smeared on her right cheek. Herbal ointment. Then the memory of what happened before replayed in her mind. Leon's slap was as painful as al
Her wolf leapt among the wild flowering shrubs. Its paws scratched the fragrant, moist forest floor, carpeted by a tapestry of maroon and brown fallen leaves. Kiara followed the soft sound of gurgling water to find a shallow river in the forest. She reached the clear stream and looking at the surface, saw the reflection of the wolf staring back at her. Anyone who saw her silver fur would not be able to take their eyes off her. Not just because she was beautiful, but also because a werewolf with fur that glistened like the Moon Goddess' light was extremely uncommon. The silver wolf had previously been Luna from the largest pack in Arathei city that had died out about twenty years ago. It was when she turned fourteen that she found out that the Moon Goddess gave her this blessing, or curse. There had been no silver wolves in Guivor for half a century. They were hunted by all Werewolf packs and the wicked Vampire families seeking her power for their own benefit.Kiara never let her w
It was forbidden for servants to stare directly into the eyes of their masters. So when Daniel led her away from Flora and Caty, Kiara glued her eyes to the floor. The Beta's displeasure showed soon after as he raised his tone of voice, which made her flinch."Which one is your room?"She pointed to the hallway where her room was. When she first started working here, the servants' pavilion was full. There was only one small room that seemed to have been used as a warehouse that she could live in. Luckily, Aunt Pansy and Ghea helped her make it into a more decent bedroom. They gave her a mattress and a blanket. Even so, the stuffy air could not be removed, nor could the cold as the night approached due to the absence of heaters or fireplaces. "Where do you keep your medicine? I will help you treat your wounds". Kiara could see the Beta did his best not to comment on the sad state of her bedroom. Not much medicine was kept there, even so she reached into the drawer of the wooden night
Dave was filled with rage that boiled in his guts as he stormed the maids' pavilion to find the omega girl's room. He broke into her stuffy bedroom and, upon finding her sitting on her bed, immediately grabbed her skinny arms so that she rose to her feet. He didn't care that his grip made her bite her lip in pain. Dave wanted to crush her bones right now. She looked up at him with a pair of wide hazel eyes blinking with fear, tears forcing their way down. But that wouldn't fool him.She had the courage not to tell him the truth. The Alpha's gaze dropped to her flat stomach. The fetus.'How idiot, what made me think that it was me who impregnated this pathetic Omega?'He spent many nights looking into the matter, whether this servant of his had a relationship with another man. When the evidence led to 'no' he was finally at a loss. She might just be a weak Omega and just a maid. But when she had the audacity to carry the part of his in her womb, Dave wouldn't let her go. But tonight
"Did you manage to do what I ordered?" Angeline asked impatiently to the two Omega before her.Flora and Caty both dropped their gazes to the floor. Caty's wrist was tightly bandaged because the bone there was slightly displaced. It made the skin around it bruised. "Did you hear me?!"Flora raised her gaze to answer the Luna "Luna...we're sorry...but that night Kiara managed to escape from us. I think we both failed to at least give her wounds""What?! How did that happen? How did that weak Omega just escape easily and you let her?" Angeline's voice was sharp, her tone rising, making the two girls flinch. The Luna crossed her arms. The look in her eyes also showed that she was not at all satisfied with the work they had done. Flora dropped her gaze again, she could only hope that Angeline would not cancel the promised wages.Angeline had told them to make Kiara's life miserable. Because Alpha Dave wasn't going to kick her out, so Angeline thought, with all the obstacles and distract
It took a while for her to calm down after Noah's hurtful words to her. Kiara understood that he was simply stating the facts. Noah was right. Even though she no longer lived in that house, she couldn't get out of Leon's shadow. If Noah had been telling her she was weak and pathetic, she should have accepted it. But still those words were painful. Kiara held back from dropping those embarrassing tears but she failed. She leaned against the wall in the back kitchen, deserted from the other servants, and sobbed softly there. She felt embarrassed with herself. By nightfall, she had finished her work and had showered and changed into clean clothes. That's when there was a knock on her door and Ghea poked from outside, "Let's go to the kitchen. Tonight is a banquet dinner for some pack members. We must serve the food." Aunt Pansy had told her this morning, but she had forgotten about it, "Alright, let's go." It was rare that there was usually a dinner banquet at the manor. Alpha D
Kiara confirmed once again whether Eudora was really talking to her. She didn't want to make a mistake that would earn her another scolding. "Are you okay?" Eudora repeated. Because she did not get an answer, she took the initiative to reach for Kiara's hand and say, "The hot jam got on your hands." I'll get some ointment for you." Kiara immediately withdrew her hand, it was a reflex movement because she simply couldn't believe it. She had just committed a silly act of carelessness that had almost blistered Luna Angeline's thigh. Eudora had absolutely no need to worry about her hand. The Alpha's sister knitted her brows, not offended, more confused "It will burn your skin." "It's okay. It's just a little and no pain," Kiara replied stammeringly with a faint smile. Madame Macaine's words still made her heart thunder against her ribcages. She felt stiff in place, afraid to move or even make a sound. "What are you looking at? Quickly get some cold water and ointment for the Luna!"
Their words left a throb in her heart, not allowing her to close her eyes and dissolve into dreams. And she woke up without remembering them. Kiara had been in this position for most of her life. She grew up with the Omega family, whom she referred to as her mom, dad, and brother. That was all she knew, and despite their treatment of her as if she were an animal and not their daughter, she adores her foster parents. They gave her a room by the fireplace in the kitchen, and never allowed her to join their dinner or breakfast while fulfilling all Leon's wishes. They didn't know when her birthday was. It was only when she was ten that her dad told her they were not her real parents. Kiara let the river water cool her feet as she sat on a boulder. She slipped out of her room with little difficulty because everyone was already asleep. The girl relished the cool night breeze that caressed her face gently. Every time what happened at the dinner pops into her mind, she feels the urge to cr
