3. Not okay

Dave turned to his luna, every time he looked at Angeline, his cold eyes would warm up. And it only happened whenever he spoke to her, the mate he first met when he was eighteen.

"Why is that, angel? I don't see anything wrong with her work" Dave replied casually.

That made Angeline even more worried, if Dave did not expel the Omega from the manor immediately, her secret might be revealed. Angeline could not let that happen

"I've seen her so lazy at work the last few days," She said softly, knowing that she had always been able to melt the Alpha's heart, this time she had to succeed.

"Is that true? Then should we talk to her now?"

Kiara was still cleaning the floor, but now she was out their voice to reach her ears. The girl couldn't hear what they were saying. Dave didn't really intend to fire her, she was one of the Omega in his pack. What would she live for if he fired her?

"Let me just call her" Angeline offered, the woman walked a few steps and called her "Omega!"

Kiara did not hear the woman, Angeline grumpily walked over to her. Too hasty that she did not pay attention to the slippery floor. The Luna slipped, her body hit the ground and she let out a whined of pain. The sound made Eudora and Daniel stand up simultaneously and rush over to her.

"Angeline!" Dave and Hugo rushed over to her. Dave helped Angeline to get up, supporting her body "are you okay?"

The woman was still moaning in pain, making Dave become really worried.

Angeline shook her head, tears forcing their way down her cheeks "Dave, I think I sprained my ankle"

"you should be careful" Dave wiped away her tears.

When she heard the sound of a body hitting the floor, Kiara immediately turned around. She gasped in shock to see Luna Angeline lying there, she ran to help Luna but Alpha Dave had already helped her up. Kiara stopped where she was.

Angeline couldn't walk properly, so Dave had to carry her. Angeline shook her head when Dave was about to carry her to the room, her eyes found Kiara standing two meters away from her "Are you deaf, huh?! I'm calling you"

The Luna's plaintive voice disappeared completely, replaced with that harsh yell. Angeline stared at her wide-eyed "You stupid Omega. What if my head hits the floor?"

Now they were all staring at Kiara with faces that were more or less the same as Angeline's. The Beta seemed to be the only one who looked sorry for her. Alpha Dave gave her an unreadable look,

"I'm sorry Luna" Kiara wasn't sure what to answer other than apologizing, hoping this matter wouldn't be prolonged.

She was truly sorry for being careless.

"You are such a careless Omega and don't deserve to work here. I'll make sure I will never see your face again" After saying that, there was a faint smile of satisfaction on the luna's lips.

Kiara felt like a dagger had been driven into her chest, that sentence scared and hurt her. She didn't know where the courage came from as she replied "I was mopping this floor, Luna. So it must be slippery, you should have been more careful"

Her answer made Angeline glare, even more, Hugo was now looking at Kiara with intense interest.

"You little bitch dare answer me!" Angeline came forward to attack her.

But Dave held her back tightly "Angeline, enough"

"But Dave... "

"I said enough. This matter is over here" Dave said firmly. He spoke to Angeline but his eyes were glued to Kiara.

"She's right, you're not being careful," Daniel said.

Cold sweat dripped from her temple, the Luna smelled like a blooming flower. It was like all kinds of spicy flowers mixed together and gave off an intense and sharp scent. As the scent inhaled by her, Kiara felt dizzy and a strange jolt in her stomach. She press one palm on her mouth as her nausea returned.

'No' she thought 'not here'

"Are you okay?" Beta Daniel asked her.

Kiara was unable to answer, she shook her head and ran away from them.

The girl was unable to reach the bathroom in her own room, Kiara gripped the sink behind the manor's kitchen tightly as she tried to expel whatever she was forced to vomit. But nothing came out but a bitter clear liquid. When nausea subsided it was replaced with dizziness and tightness in her chest.

"I'm getting less and less sure that you've taken the pill" The heavy voice startled her.

Alpha Dave stood in the doorway, he walked slowly over to her. The girl pressed her back against the sink. He stopped right in front of her, examining her appearance from top to bottom. His hands were crossed.

'Why did he follow me here?'

"I already drank that, Alpha. No need to worry"

"I have to make sure. If that happens then-"

"Please. I won't get pregnant, please don't fire me from here" Her voice was trembling, her chest still tight to breathe.

Kiara felt her legs weaken even to support her weight. Her face was pale and her brown strands stuck to her forehead. Dave knew that she wasn't okay.

"Then why did you vomit?"

"Probably because I haven't eaten since morning."

"Why haven't you eaten?"

Kiara ventured to look into his eyes, her height only reached his chest. Making her have to look up slightly. The man's look was still the same even when he asked her that. Kiara shook her head "I didn't have time"

Dave sighed, he grabbed her arm. So fragile and thin in his grip, Kiara couldn't break free as he pulled her towards the kitchen and sat her on the dining table chair.

He called out to a servant, "Bring some food, anything, lots of food and drinks over here. Right away."

"Alright Alpha"

Kiara was truly embarrassed, she stammered as she was about to say something. She was about to stand up but Dave immediately made her sit back down "Alpha, I haven't finished my work-"

"If you can't take care of yourself how do you want to take care of other work?"

The man's words left her unable to answer.

'Alpha Dave is right' Kiara thought 'I will only trouble others if I faint'

The man's presence made her nervous. She just looked down and waited for the servant to arrive.

'She has a fever' Dave thought, noticing the omega who was now only dropping her gaze at her lap. Her body temperature was quite high when he had grabbed her arm earlier.
