Chapter 18

Blaire’s POV

I couldn’t sleep. I don’t know. I already do everything so I could sleep but I can’t. I watch television so that I could wait for Calix but still he wasn’t home yet. It’s already ten-thirty when I heard a car honk.

My heart skipped a beat and I didn’t notice that Calix is already inside the mansion. He thought that I am waiting for him but I just excused myself that I couldn’t sleep but the reality is that, I was worried and that he was not yet at home.

I don’t want to sleep because of the worries inside my chest. I don’t want to overthink either that there’s something happen to him.

He even apologized for coming home late even if it was not necessary to apologize since I knew that he’ll go home late and grandmother told me that. Caleb was sleeping in his room already while me wasn’t yet sleepy.

He even called me wife and I was so shocked with that. He wasn’t Calix. Looks like he was possessed by someone. No. He looks so tired that he doesn’t even know what he was saying.
