a long chapter today, hope you enjoyed xxx
Elio I had been mulling over the bomb Cahya had dropped. Gabriel had arranged a room for his sister … did that mean she had pre-arranged this before the full moon? Did she not care we were mates? So, she didn’t run because she found me with Naomi. Why did she run then? The question plagued my every thought day and night. Now I didn’t know what I should do? Do I go after her? At first, I was worried about what to say to her after what happened. How could I begin to explain why I didn’t go after her that night? I’m left wondering if she has been planning this from the beginning. I run a hand over my short black hair. I just thought we were getting along. Not in the conventional sense, but in our own way. I guess it was just me that felt this way, this pull, to be near her. My bedroom door slams open and I see Cahya storms in, slamming the door behind him as his nostrils flare. I pinch the bridge of my nose and groan. “How many times have I told you I don’t want to look at your ugly
Elio The wind whips around us, carrying with it a hint of impending rain. The sound of rustling leaves fills the air with the scent of damp earth, and freshly fallen leaves linger as the tall sycamore trees sway as Gabriel’s icy gaze locks onto me. “What are you doing here?” he growls at me. I don’t miss the threatening tone in his voice and I wonder what his sister has told him. “I’ve come to collect my mate,” I state, plainly tilting my chin up. His brows furrow for a second, his anger dissipates for a moment before he masks it, giving me his hard stare once again. “She rejected you Elio, you accepted go home,” he tells me as I blink at him, a growl coming from my chest as he turns to his car. “Is that what she fucking told you? Hate to break it to you brother … but she never rejected me. She’s mine and I’d never accept her rejection,” I hiss, pressing up against the metal gate that separates the two of us. A myriad of expressions cross his face, concern and worry for his sister.
Elio “Hello brother,” Cahya’s deep, gruff voice comes through the console of the car as the engine revs. When behind the wheel of this vehicle, it's as if you're soaring through the air. There’s not a bump in the road that would derail this car. “Has something happened?” I ask a knot forming in my stomach. He knows where I have gone. I doubt he would have called if it wasn’t urgent. I see the high mossy green mountains disappear behind me as I put more road between her pack and the Bentley Flying Spur. Cahya pierces through my thoughts as his voice echoes round the car of the sleek interior. The air freshener swings the rose, scent feeling the car before I rip it off and toss it out the window. “No, nothing is wrong brother,” I notice a lit to his voice that isn’t normally present. He sounds … happy. Not cocky or braggy, happy. I don’t think I have heard him happy since before he found out I was going to be the alpha of the pack. I go to say something when I hear a woman’s voice in
Kara I had finally made it to the Eclipse pack where Katie came and met me straight away. The Eclipse pack is incredible. They have a large fountain outside their pack house with an array of wildflowers that fill the air with their floral fragrance’s pops of pinks, purples and reds fill the entire space amongst the cobbled streets. I thank Dylan, and he nods before one guard stays with me from home. It seems a little ridiculous. The Eclipse pack is exceptionally safe. Nothing ever seems to happen here. Well before these silver bullets plagued the different packs. Katie pulls me into a tight hug before I even make it out of the vehicle. The soft warm breeze surrounds us and I’m grateful that I can come back here again. “Omgeee, it’s so good to see you! How was your journey? Are you tired and hungry? Do you want a nap or shall we go out? We can head to a few of the shops or the arcade here? Whatever you want to do?” she rambles as I pat her back, barely able to breathe as I smile at
Kara After much persuasion, Katie coerced me out the door the next morning after she had supervised my outfit choice. I had changed three times because my first two choices weren’t ‘date attire,’ whatever that means. So, I was wearing Katie’s pink pleated skirt and a white cropped top with my trainers. It was the one thing I had insisted on as Katie tried to force me into a pair of strappy heals. I had my hair swept up in a messy bun with a few strands around my face. I think this is the girliest I have ever looked. Even Aurora hadn’t been able to dress me up like this. I guess she doesn’t know Katie like I do. She may look like candyfloss, but the girl is a storm. I’m seeing why Dawson gives into all the pink fluffy crap she has around the pack house. Barbies dream house would be a more accurate depiction of the place. The door slammed right behind me, stopping me from retreating. Not that it was possible with Winter strolling up the stairs, his warm, charming smile on his face, as
Kara As I find a comfortable spot in the shade, the soothing sounds of the fountain fill the air, accompanied by the gentle splashes of water. A striking statue of a wolf commands the centre, its presence heightened by the intricate inscription encircling the base. ‘The strength of the wolf is the pack.’ it’s an impressive sculpture as the water flies across, spilling through the air. I notice a few wild flowers floating on the surface of the water. “I’m guessing you love this flavour.” He adds cryptically, passing me the ice cream. “Thank you,” I reply, thinking I don’t even think I have a favourite flavour yet. A tower of three tall ice cream scoops, their creamy goodness starting to melt and create a delicious mess adorned with chocolate sprinkles. Before I even take a bite, I know what the flavour is going to be. Part of me wants to refuse to tell Winter that he is mistaken. But that would be a lie because as I watch the caramel ice-cream melts, I’m already licking the drips wit
Kara It’s now been two weeks since I have been at the Eclipse pack and I have spent almost all of them with Winter, much to Katie’s insistence. He is growing on me, plus he is so charming and handsome. I feel like I would be crazy to turn him down since he seems extremely into me. Katie is spinning. She is so certain the two of us are mates. I don’t have the heart to tell her that’s not possible. There’s a knock on my bedroom door and in walks Winter, looking drool worthy as always. I look at the clock on the bedside table. It’s only 8am he is here early. I’m still in my sleep shorts and cami as he closes the door behind him, turning the lock. The click resounds around the room as I try not to freak out. “Hi babe,” he coos as he walks towards me, flopping down on the bed and rolling on his side to give me a kiss. His tongue traces my lips as his hands roam my body, pulling the covers back. I have got used to his kisses. They are warm and sweet and although I don’t feel those sparks
KaraWinter takes me to this stunning park, where a meandering stream winds its way amidst a colourful carpet of wildflowers. He chooses a spot by the stream, where the floral scents and the fragrance of freshly cut grass surround us, as he pulls me close against his chest. It’s so different from how things were this morning that it almost seems like two different people.“You went to the Crimson Moon pack. What’s it like there?” Winter asks eagerly as I lean back against his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. I blink several times. I don’t exactly want to discuss it. “Its different. I told you this,” he leans down and places a soft kiss on my temple, holding me tight. “I know, but babe, the only people that go there are in body bags. You lived to actually see the place. Spill what monsters lurk behind those walls?” he asks devilishly as I smirk. It’s true other than myself, mum and dad no one goes there. It’s one thing I found odd.Taking a deep breath, I tell him, but he isn’
