Amelie gets slapped

Chapter 66

Amelie's POV

I pace around my chambers, starting to get antsy. I was lucky I was able to get away from Alexa and those pack members before my symptoms kicked in. I get angry again when I think about that maid. I should have just killed her right there. I'm going through this pain right now because of her. I start to roughly take off my clothes. I feel itchy and sweaty. I rushed to take a bath, the pain I'm feeling was unbearable, but I could not scream for fear of anyone asking me what was wrong. The cool water calms my aching joints a little but did nothing to calm my inner fire.

I run out and quickly gulp down a glass of water to soothe my aching throat. I threw the cup away in a fit of rage. It didn't help at all, nothing seems to be working. I peer out of the window and everywhere is still bright and bustling with activities. I can't afford to go out now, or else people will see me. I have to wait until dark. Just the thought of enduring this pain until dark brings tea
