Alpha Kai's POV

“I want every little detail about him. Leave no stone unturned,” I said to him.

“Yes Alpha,” he replies.

I suddenly stopped walking. I backtrack.

“Is something wrong?” the chief asks.

“It's Alexa,” I reply excitedly. She has been avoiding me, and now I finally catch a glimpse of her. It's making me feel so rhapsodic.

“Where?” he asks, peering toward where I'm currently looking at.

“Can't you see her? She brightens up the whole place,” I said to him.

“Really?” he inquires curiously. I still when notice some maids stealing glances at us. I clear my throat, quickly recollecting myself.

“You must have really sharp eyes,” he said with an amused smile. I ignore him.

“You may leave now. I will walk on my own,” I said in a serious tone.
