Chapter 88

Alexa's POV

I didn't notice when the carriage stopped. It seemed like we'd stopped for a while because I could see some people already waiting for us outside. I pull away from him and adjust my gown awkwardly. The Alpha gets out of the carriage and holds out his hand for me.

“Shall we?” he asks.

“We shall,” I reply, giving him my hand. We walk hand in hand toward the people waiting outside. I could see Deren among them. He smiles widely.

“Brother,” he said, coming towards the Alpha with his arms wide open. The Alpha ignores him and walks towards a young lady with long fiery red hair and green eyes. She has little freckles that frame her face. Her red hair makes her stand out in front of everyone else present.

“Darcey,” he calls out with a smile. The lady walks towards him, and he hugs her, twirling her around. The lady chuckles happily. They both walk towards the sulky Deren. Everyone tried to stifle their laughter.

“Traitor, how could you ignore me like that?” Deren whines
