Weird behavior

Alexa's POV

“Ace?” I called out to him. But he doesn't respond. It's like he's no longer here. He just stares at my face in a daze. I am laying on his chest and his hands are on my waist.

“Ace!” I exclaim loudly, which snaps him out of his reverie. He quickly let go of me, and I rolled over to the soft grass beside him.

“What were you thinking so intently about?” I ask curiously, laying on my side and using my elbow to prop my head up. He looks shocked like he just got caught doing what he's not supposed to be doing.

“Nothing,” he mutters, looking straight ahead.

“It didn't look like anything,” I mutter, not believing him.

“You are right, I was thinking of something,” he replies with his eyes closed.

“What?” I ask curiously.

“When you will get up and get back to training,” he simply replies. I stare at him dumbfounded.

“What are you still waiting for? Go on,” he urges. I huffed and got back to training, disgruntled. I train unfocused, so I trip and fall on the floor.
