Here to Stay

I stand frozen as the arrogant She-wolf, Jennifer transformed into a massive wolf before my very eyes. The fur grew, the muscles bulged, and the onyx eyes glared at me with ferocity.

My heart raced, and my palms were sweaty as I breathed deeply to keep my wolf hidden.

Refusing to back down, my fists clenched tightly as I watch Jennifer slowly circle me, testing me with growls that made my hair stand on end.

I tried to remain calm, but the wolf suddenly lunged at me, teeth bared and claws extended.

I ducked and rolled, narrowly avoiding Jennifer’s first attack. With a sharp intake of breath, I grasped the rod that was given to me.

Jennifer pivoted around to face me once more, but I was ready this time.

The tiny furs growing on my body suddenly disappeared and my claws retracted to a normal nails too.

With a smile that I was able to control my wolf, I swung the rod around in a wide arc, striking Jennifer hard in the side with a satisfying crack.
