Chapter Fifty Nine

ARIA POV

It was already dark when we left, and we arrived at the castle in the middle of the night.

The weather was freezing, and I carried myself inside with the sheet covering my naked body.

I headed to my room while Killian carried Timothy away.

Once in my room, I was again left alone with my thoughts.

I sighed and walked over to my bed. It was a long and exhausting day. If someone had told me that day would have been like that, I would have argued because of the way each day had been uneventful except for the bickers I had with Marcus.

Speaking of Marcus, I wondered why he did that.

Did he leave me there to die, or was it his plan to get them there or…

I sighed again; I didn't know what to think about him. Ever since I met him, he's been messing with my brain, making decisions that had me question everything he does.

I wanted to hate him for all that he had done to me, but I just couldn't; my stupid heart just couldn't let me do it.
