Chapter Forty One

ARIA POV

Hearing what Darius said made me blush, it felt good thinking he wanted to see me and I don't know what kind of delusion made me think he was interested in me. I wanted to seem a bit different from how I was at the hospital.

Back then, it was the first time we both had met each other and although our wolves were jumping for joy, it wasn't the same for us. He saw me at my worst at the hospital after surgery and although I didn't see myself, I'm sure I looked terrible.

I had lost even more weight than before and that morning I was almost a breathing skeleton, he probably thought I was very ugly hence his outburst.

I felt I looked a little better than before and if I smiled more, he would see the other side of me and regret his statement but unfortunately, seconds later, his scent disappeared and so did my smile.
