Ares POV

I didn’t expect her to reach for the bowl at the same time i did and when she recoiled it angered me that she pulled back, it was like she was avoiding me and when she rose from where she sat without looking at me i knew that she was. I watched her disappear and the door closed behind her.

“Ares, give her some slack.” Atlas said and i turned to him, he was picking out the pieces in the bowl in front of him.

“I’m not doing anything.” I grumbled and dropped my fork down. He was right, i was trying to throw a fit for what happened.

“Ares-” I ignored him and rose to my feet and walked towards the door.

“Go easy on her.” The rest of his words died away when i closed the door behind me.

It was clear that i didn’t want to go easy on her, not now not ever. With her pressed against me as i held her against the walls, i could perceive her, that scent that made her to stand out in the crowd, hte same that made me want he rlike no other. It was captivating, enchanting,
