I watched her move away from the field after smiling at something Derek said. My eyes followed her until she disappeared into the training house. Derek noticed me and walked over.

“She’s pretty interesting.” he said while brushing his hair back. “Fierce, although I think she's holding back on a lot of things in her head.”

“Thats Laila for you.”

“Is that why you two had me pulled off the field? To come train her?” he asked and we walked together.

Derek was one of our finest fighters who was out on special missions, with the incident with the hunters, Ares and I thought it would be best to have someone like him train her.

“She needs more of an iron fists, someone who is very experienced with facing Hunters- someone like you.” I said, and he was also the only person we could trust to get the job done.

“You have Ayesha, she can do what I can.” When he mentioned Ayesha I noticed the strain in his voice.
