Chapter 64

ALEXIS' POV

After we leave Rachel's place, Randall drives me somewhere else, all the while stealing glances at me. When I cannot take it anymore and his stares are making me uncomfortable, I snap at him.

"Would you stop doing that?"

"Doing what?" He keeps his eyes on the road and feigns oblivion.

"Stop staring at me. I saw you stare at me."

"Oh." He blinks and says, finally aware that he has been caught. After a few seconds later, he adds. "Pardon me, mi lady. For I have not seen anyone as fairer as you today."

I find my face blushing, heating up tomato red at his words. Immediately, I look away towards the window to hide my face from him.

"How absurd." I fake a laugh.

"What is absurd? The fact that I couldn't take my eyes off you or the fact that you are the prettiest girl I have seen today?"

I hesitate to answer and that instant, my mind travels back to my conversation with Rachel, her words replaying in my head.
