The next day at school, Selene couldn't help but feel gloomy. She tried to take the thoughts off her mind but they kept coming. Each day, it was as if she was getting weaker and it was bothering her alot.

She had come to class earlier than usual, since she couldn't help but think about the incidents at home but here wasn't helping matters either.

She sighed and rested her head on the desk.

“What else do I do? I've done everything I saw was right. Why isn't it working? Why hasn't he fallen for me yet?” She asked no one in particular and someone tapped the table.

She looked up and was surprised to see Bryce. He smirked at her, causing her to facepalm internally. He must have heard what she said.

“So, who's that guy you're trying to make fall for you? It's my friend, isn't it?” He asked and she scoffed.

“You wish.” She huffed.

“I'm sure he's the one. Why else would you be muttering things to yourself early in the morning?” He asked with a chuckle.
