Chapter 52

Hazel's POV

I licked my lips nervously and stared at Jasper in the eyes. He looked worried. In the corner, Logan stood quietly, his eyes baring down on the both of us, every muscle in his body was twitching, trying to resist getting involved. I turned my head away and saw that Lorena stood alone. She had asked Kaya to go to her room and she stood at the staircase, watching it all unfold.

I felt the tension building up every second. My palms were getting sweatier.

"Hazel, are you alright? What do you want to tell me? You aren't saying anything."

I turned to Jasper; I had nearly forgotten that he was the reason why I was so tense.

Logan grunted for me to speak up and tell him the new developments between the both of us. My insides began to churn. I thought I was going to be sick.

"Jasper, I..."

Oh God! I think I'm going to throw up.

"Jasper, I... I... I'm sorry that I've been keeping away from you. I didn't mean to."

"Yeah I understand that. I just want to know 'why'?"
