Chapter 53

Ryder's POV

I bit my lower lip and watched her stare at me. Her friend on the other hand looked fearful. Her silence didn't bother me at all.

"Lorena, you don't have..."

"Okay. Where do you want us to talk?" said Lorena, cutting Hazel off rudely.

So much fire and power and all for what? There was no way in the world that she could take me on. She only continued to defy my because I'm allowed it.

"My office," I said flatly.

Lorena exhaled and walked out of the room and I followed her closely behind, the both of us leaving Hazel confused and startled.

As she walked, I noticed the confidence in her gait. She had beautiful hair and for an Omega, she was well built. Not scrawny or too skinny at all. Soon we reached my office and she stopped at the door.

I pushed past her and unlocked it and we both went inside silently. I walked up to my cabinet and poured myself some whiskey.

"Do you want a drink?" I asked her, offering her a shot.

"What is all this about?"

Her voice was soft yet defiant.
