Chapter 68

Lorena's POV

I was in Kaya's room and had seen Hazel storm out all of a sudden. I watched her as she ran down the sidewalk and soon, she was out of sight.

"Miss Lorena, are you alright? You look worried."

Kaya had raised her head from the colouring book that I got for her and looked at me with those beautiful eyes of hers.

"I'm okay sweetie. It's nothing to worry about."

She smiled and showed me her colouring and I moved back to sit on the bed with her.

"Wow! I think that is just beautiful. I think you are a very talented girl Kaya."

She smiled and opened a new page to colour. She was silent for a while and finally spoke up as she was now colouring the picture of Princess Jasmine.

"My dad doesn't think that I am talented."

Her face became sad but she didn't cry; she continued to colour as if she hadn't said anything at all.

I watched her and couldn't help but sigh sadly.

"Kaya, look at me."

She stopped colouring and raised her head; her eyes were glistening with tears. She was holding
