Confirm his suspicions

Hades' POV

The tires of the car screeched as I got down quickly. My heart continued to pant harder as I tried to help the little boy up. I kept blaming myself for having to think about the low lives that should be chasing my vehicle behind and pleading to convey them to the pack.

"Are you hurt?" I asked, and gulped as I helped him up but he looked totally fine. I had to confirm if he didn't start bleeding internally so I wouldn't assume he wasn't hurt whereas he's badly hurt.

He didn't lift his face till I led him to the pack. I began to think he had gotten bruises all over his face and didn't want to show it. As he sat beside me, I gave him a mirror to check if he's truly hurt. I was done with checking already, but probably my eyes weren't clear enough or I was only being anxious.

"I'm fine," he muttered as I pulled him in for a hug. I felt relaxed by the response as I retrieved the mirror from him and returned it to the original position, in the car.
