Brielle's POVThe cars moving across the streets were suddenly becoming few. Fewer by the minute. I sighed anxiously at this strange place but one thing kept me moving forward and that was the thought of returning to Hades' pack being the only option left.I chuckled and crossed to the other side of the forest as I began to explore several trees and little creepies on the ground. Hardly had I stepped into the forest than I heard the screeching sound of tires. I suddenly looked back and a car had stopped right beside the forest. A girl was being throttled and forced to get into the forest. I hid behind a very big tree as I watched them, shaking terribly. They dragged her to exactly where I first stepped on and dropped her to the ground.I kept watching her, hoping Hades had masked my scent already so no one would track me, except for him. I didn't want him to track him but if my scent was accessible to only him, I was still on the safer side.A sharp knife, long and shining, was slippe
Brielle's POVNo one was trailing behind me. I already confirmed I was a bit safe. I just needed to creep down the pack over there. Hades didn't even mention that there was a pack not too far from his. Though I had to risk my life to cross the paths that separated Hades' pack and the pack over there, but I wasn't informed anyway.I could see werewolves walking around the pack, busy with a lot of activities and I couldn't wait to join them. I got to the front of the pack as hesitation suddenly set in. I never was hesitant until I got here, what could have transpired? I felt I shouldn't barge into the pack anyhow, so I wouldn't be turned into a slave or placed in some unworthy rooms to work as a maid when I actually had maids at a different pack.I sighed a burly man approaching and I suddenly hid. He sniffed the scent around him and was staring at my direction but I was perfect at hiding. He shook his head and shrugged before he returned to the pack. I quickly wobbled out of the hidin
Brielle's POV"No way." I gritted my teeth, trying to push him away but the security wolves soon grappled me from behind as they led me away. My legs kept hanging in air as I shook my body for release but they weren't going to hearken anytime soon. "Let me be!" I screamed till I got to the security unit. I was locked up in the room with two weird guys who were about to morph. I remained quiet so they wouldn't get annoyed and rip me apart. They might have been given permission to do so.Light flashed towards my direction and I noticed the door being opened by their master. I didn't see the burly men. Only plenty of men around me. They should be up to fourteen if I counted them well."What do you guys want from me?" I asked but the guy behind me lashed out at me, screaming at me to shut my lips."When next she says a word..." Their leader intervened, and slipped out a pocket gun from his pocket; he extended it towards the guy that lashed out at me, "...splash her skull across the wal
Brielle's POV"I'm certain the Alpha didn't request for me!" I yelled as they forced me to meet the Alpha. I was dumped in front of him and I lowered my gaze, not wanting to stare at him in the eyes. Who knows if his demeanor would be worse than Hades?"Raise your head." He commanded and I did so, immediately. He had the right to send me out of his pack, so I wouldn't disobey any of his instruction."You all can leave except my beta." He said and everyone left. When I stared back, I saw the burly man. My breath trembled. So the burly man was the Alpha's Beta? He surely must have informed the Alpha about it."How did you learn about me?" I asked, though I wasn't staring at him. When I mustered courage to look up, he was smirking and suspiciously licking his tongue. That sounded off and irritating to me."Where are you from?" He asked again."From a neighborhood pack. I had to escape from there because of the torture. I wasn't an Omega anyway. We were ambushed and..." I said but he shou
Hades' POVThe maids had been informed about my plans for me. That certainly was the reason I didn't find them in Brielle's room. If I had found them, they would have breathed their last now. I sighed anxiously, hoping Brielle would be found very soon.I whistled to my beta to come over and when he got to my side, he informed me that Brielle could be in the woods."Will you prepare the men or should I?" I asked."I think you should. They can't disobey you but they can disobey me." He replied and I chuckled evilly. How would someone under my reign as the leader disobey me? Such was indirectly craving death."I'll give you my order and you'll relay the message to them. Anyone that doesn't comply, you can let me know." I said and whispered into his ears. He nodded in the affirmative and left my presence. While I had sent him to gather men together to look for Brielle in the woods, I began to search for her as well but in the pack. I went to the dark empty room but couldn't even trace her
Hades' POV"You're requesting for something you can get..." He said for the umpteenth time but I lashed out at him as my wolf growled impatiently."Do it!" I yelled."It's not possible. Kill me, Alpha! It's not possible. I swear." He said and began to run away from my sight. My beta walked in the same minute he left."He can't help you summon the moon goddess. She'd know who he's summoning her for. If it's his personal case, it'd be approved. But for you, Alpha...we both know the story. I'll advise you to summon the moon goddess yourself." My beta said."Do you think you just made a reasonable statement?" I angrily asked."I am sorry, Alpha. So sorry. But for the sake of locating Brielle, do the needful." He said and walked out on me but I grappled him from behind and flung him at a distant place. He dropped to the ground, and found himself on the field. My wolf growled once more as I quickly got to him before he would run away. I throttled his throat and stared intensely at him, "nex
Hades' POVI walked into the pack's dungeon. I was willing to go any length to track Brielle down. If only she knew the sacrifices I made to search for her, she wouldn't give me a hard time like this. She wasn't aware, I knew. Sacrifices which included the death of half of the warriors I sent to search for her. The rogues had taken them down and fed on them.I heard there could be traces of feral werewolves or probably lycanthropes around the forest they invaded. It was so dangerous. I couldn't even inform Brielle about the packs very close to us. She would want to explore them but to cross the path to the other packs meant risking one's life.I blocked my nostrils with my fingers because of the foul stenchy smell that erupted from the dungeon. It was where dead wolves were being dumped or wolves who got so sick and didn't have any cure anymore. They would live in the dungeon and the smell might cure them. It did happen in rare cases anyway.I went on my knees as I began to reflect on
Hades' POVIf I waited for a response from the moon goddess, I would lose Brielle forever. I saw the thoughts dropping into my mind as suggestions from the moon goddess but none worked out yet. While I stood in the front of my room awaiting some potent idea to create a plan with, and execute the plan without any further delay, the pack's gate widely opened and the warriors returned."I thought you guys had returned the previous night," I said. Though I was a few metres away from them, yet they heard me clearly."No. We promised to return the previous night but we thought our colleagues would be healed by their wolves or a nearby pack healer. There wasn't even a pack close to the place where we found Brielle. Probably the pack's scent was hidden from us." He responded."Everyone can get in except for you," I said, pointing at the one who replied me, "follow me behind to my room. I have a few words with you."He went on his knees suddenly, pleading, "Hades, I beg of you. Don't take me t
