What did you come here to tell me?

Brielle's POV

I held her hands softly, whispering into her ears, "be more quiet. Don't inform your colleagues, please."

But she excitedly responded with loud voice, "it's goodness, madam Brielle!"

Everyone in the room looked towards my direction suddenly, expecting us to say a word so their suspicion would be confirmed.

"Just keep quiet." I mumbled to the leader but she turned to face her colleagues as she let them in on the news. It seemed every word I spoke did invert before reaching her ears. Why was she bent on doing the exact opposite of what I said?

I struggled to get up and shush her but one of the maids quickly rushed to meet me as she laid me back to bed while the leader began to speak.

"Madam Brielle is pregnant, guys," she said and they wowed at the news. It was surprising to me as well and I would be glad only if the father of the kid was my favorite. The only person that had ever slept with me was the ugly masked Alpha, same Hades, the well known sadist Alpha. Tears began to drop down my eyes and I couldn't help but sob till all of them gathered around me.

"Tears of joy indeed." The leader said and they all smiled. I felt like delivering some stinging slaps to their chins for smiling at my predicament. How could the tears be those of joy?

"You all can leave for now. I want to have a word with your leader," I instructed and they all got up, except for the leader, "if any other party learns about this, I will deal with you severely. Do you understand me?"

They nodded their heads in the affirmative and left without further hesitation. As soon as the door slammed shut, I focused on their leader right in front of me.

"W-Why did you tell them? Should I report you to the Alpha for disobeying me? He'll rip your bones out." I threatened.

She scoffed before responding, "Madam, be calm. I'm here to ensure you're well at all times, not as some kind of slave. You can see I'm the leader and I wasn't even assigned to you but I assumed the position so you could stay safe. So just listen to me carefully and do whatever I say. If you ever make mention of this to Hades, he would pardon me eventually but would never pardon you for hiding the pregnancy news from him."

"Shut up." I mumbled and she scoffed again, "don't be so loud about it. I haven't even confirmed if you were right about the pregnancy..."

She stood up suddenly, with the pregnancy result test in her hands, "I can show him this. It'll clear the air."

"Please don't." I said.

"But you said you haven't confirmed if I was right about the pregnancy..." She jeered but I interrupted.

"Silence! Hades might sniff my scent and be around here. He could be listening to our conversation. Don't you think?" I asked.

"I'm less concerned, madam Brielle." She plainly said and crouched in front of me. She scanned the four corners of the room before focusing on me again, "he's not around here. I am able to sniff his scent. Only a few of us can."

"Did he ever have sex with you?" I plainly asked, seeming confused.

"No. That's not the criterion. Back to the main business, I would advise you to inform Hades about it on time. If you don't, then I would."

"You dare not!" I yelled angrily at her.

"Okay, madam. I'm the leader of your maids. I have no right to disrespect you. But, I suggest that you inform him. He'd be glad. Don't be scared about being ripped out. He wouldn't do that to a lady wolf pregnant for him. He's never encountered a lady wolf that got pregnant after sex." She explicated.

"I get it now. Thanks a bunch. Will see you some other time." I said and feigned a smile across my chin before she left for her other works.

Before my maids would return, I began to think about telling him or not. What would be his reaction? As much as I wanted to remain optimistic, I still doubted what the result would be. As I moved an inch forward, trying to get out of my room, my maids rushed in, asking me where I was going to.

"We'd take you there if you feel weak." One of them said.

"Don't worry. I'm not feeble. I'm strong enough to walk over there," I said and smiled.

"Where are you headed to?"

"To the field." I clipped.

"Not Hades' room? Madam Brielle, he'd find out if you don't inform him." She said.

"Reduce the rate of your persistence over this matter," I said and frowned, "if I would inform him, then I would. Don't tell me what to do. You can only advise me."

"I was ---"

"Shut up and let me talk. Anyway, I might branch there but don't infuriate me next time."

Having said that, I walked out on them and walked straight to the field should they still be monitoring my movement with their eyes. Before I got to the field, I sighted Hades' guard slightly opening his door. I swallowed hard at that. Since someone was inside, I decided to use the opportunity to inform him as well.

As I turned the doorknob after walking a few minutes to reach there, his eyes were welcoming and the aura was lovely. I shut the door and slipped my hands into my pocket, expecting him to attend to the guard first, since he came before I did. I felt a little paper inside my pocket and when I slipped it out, it was the pregnancy test. The leader of my maids had really slipped that into my pocket. Wow.

I slipped it back into my pocket as I started feeling hesitant suddenly, since he was almost done attending to the guard. The guard suddenly turned to me and walked towards the door, turning the doorknob and getting out.

His eyes rolled towards my direction as my lips stifled immediately.

"What did you come here to tell me?"
