“Your project should be submitted by Monday.” The teacher said and half of the students nodded with a “Yes ma’am.”

The woman left after some minutes and the class was rowdy again.

Kyra searched her bag and grinned a bit when she saw what she was looking for. She brought out the pen and started writing. It was better she start the assignment now so she would bring it in earlier than everyone else.

She didn’t have anything to do so it wasn’t like she was losing anything.

“What should be here?” She muttered to herself in question. “A metaphor would be better instead of a simile,” She said, smacking her forehead in the process.

It wasn’t anything new, when she was working on projects, she tended to whisper things to herself and it always made her understand what she was doing more.

“Kyra..” she heard a voice behind her and she stiffened. She didn’t want to face them, at least not now.

Why were they even here? She felt his breath behind her neck and she swallowed deeply.
