I stepped out of my car and locked it. It made that locking sound and I made my way to the porch. As I lifted my eyes, I caught the sight before I smelled that familiar scent. This scent belonged to only one person. Alerix, my sister. What was she doing here?

With my brows furrowed, I gazed further into the dark area of the place and she stepped out, her eyes glinting with different kinds of emotions.

"Alec!" She squeaked, rushing towards me. I extended my hands out, using it to stop her before she collided with me. She twisted her mouth as she pouted. "I missed you." She said.

I stared at her with uncertainty. What was she doing here? I tensed as I hurriedly glanced around to see if my parents were close.

"They are not here." She clarified, as if she knew what I was thinking.

I turned back to her, still confused although I already relaxed. "What are you doing here? How did you get out?" I asked her all at once.
